Lindsay Paterson
Professor of Educational Policy, University of Edinburgh
Lindsay Paterson is Professor of Educational Policy in the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh. His main academic interests are in education, civic engagement and political attitudes. He has published widely on the expansion and purposes of higher education, on social mobility, on the relationship between education and civic values, on the twentieth-century history of Scottish education, and on Scottish politics. He has provided policy advice to the Scottish Parliament's Education Committee and to the Scottish Government. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.BSA Chapters
