Technical details

In 2014, the sample for the British Social Attitudes survey was split into three equally-sized portions. Each portion was asked a different version of the questionnaire (versions A, B and C). Depending on the number of versions in which it was included, each ‘module’ of questions was thus asked either of the full sample (2,878 respondents) or of a random third or two-thirds of the sample.
